The Amnesia Fortnight is 2 weeks in which all of Doublefine's game developer employees put aside their current projects and try out new ideas by making a prototype game of an idea in the 2 week time frame. After the fortnight is over, some of the most well received games are out into real production and released to the public upon completion. Scotland was hit along with the rest of the bigger cities in the UK by the Nazi German Luftwaffe during WWII. Clydebank, near Glasgow in particular was unfortunately hit pretty badly, where shipbuilding was largely taking place. The town was was devastated, leaving under ten houses still undamaged, the rest was reduced to rubble. There were around 500 casualties and even more so were injured in the blitz. Thankfully the Clydebank area was restored and still stands today as a nice town situated next to Glasgow.
